Stella Awards (Prizes Stella) is those who give themselves persons who raise ridiculous and scandalous bills of complaint. They are called this way by Stella Liebeck who, in 1992, spilt a cup of McDonald's's coffee(café) on his(her,your) leg, him(her) causing burns of the third degree. She(it) denounced McDonald's and claimed 2,9 million dollars for hurts(damages) that were reduced later by the judge to 640.000 $.

The prizes were an object of a book in 2005: The True Stella Awards: royal(real) Honoring marry of greedy opportunists, frivolous lawsuits, and the law run amok. Due to the high number of false Stella Awards circulating along Internet, the author of the book, Randy Cassingham, created a website and a newsletter where there are discussed royal(real) cases of scandalous bills of complaint
